Job Description:
Role Purpose:
The Merchandising department is searching for the right applicant to fill a critical position in our Calgary Head Office. The Purchasing Administrator is accountable for coordinating the purchasing and distribution of Mark’s product in a timely manner and will be a key member of the working POD.
Essential Responsibilities:
-Finalize order quantification.
-Coordinate the purchase and distribution of selected apparel
-Perform SKU initialization, Item substitutions, SKU exit strategies, and new SKU class initialization
-Enter data on selected markdowns
-Resolve any store problems relating to product markdowns, marketing initiatives, inventory turns, and vendor discrepancies
-Submit contract orders to vendors and maintain information regarding cost, units, or ship dates
-Communicate any relevant changes on the purchase order to vendors
-Vendor set up and management/maintenance in the Product Management system
-Vendor audit initiation and follow through
-Manage all packing list approvals and ensure that all products are packaged and labeled correctly
-Style entry
-Execute purchase order flow and process
-Communicate effectively and efficiently to the stores
-Manage product samples and details for marketing
-Ownership of Product Management System for the category
-Assist the initiating and suggesting execution of markdowns

Skills/Qualifications:
-2 to 3 Years of administrative experience, preferably in a corporate environment
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Knowledge of retail
-Strong organizational skills
-Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
-Strong PC skills (Lotus Notes, MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, AS 400)
